The techinique is to add a small animated GIF Image to the background of the large slow loading element. The animated gif gives the impression that it is being "Ajaxed" when in fact it is simply being loaded according to standard CSS/Html techniques.

At least it gives the Client something to watch while they are waiting. :lol:
